Political leaders together with parents and Teachers of Buhara primary School have appreciated Natural Resources Defense Initiative ( NRDI) and Join for Water for providing the School with updated toilet facilities for both boys and girls.
During the Hand-over ceremony on Friday 18th March 2022, the LC3 Chairperson Kicwamba Subcounty Mr. Magezi Jack Kicuculi thanked NRDI together with Join For Water for constructing standard ECO-SAN toilets that will serve the school effectively and as well preserve the environment.
He asked the school to maintain the facility and promote good sanitation.
According to Mr. Musinguzi Patrick the Headteacher Buhara primary School, they are grateful to NRDI and Join for Water that have supported the school with a good toilet facility that will last for a long period since it is re-usable. He however appealed to well-wishers to intervene and help the school with water since it is still a big challenge to the pupils.
He noted that the only functioning tank they have was donated by NRDI with funding from Join for water but whenever it is a hot season, children always move in the down streams in search for water which interferes with their studies.
