Train Pupils on the importance of hygiene and Sanitation

School Leaders have been asked to train pupils on the importance of hygiene and sanitation at an early age.

This was during the commissioning of a ten thousand water facility Tank that was constructed by Natural Resources Defense Initiatives (NRDI) with support from Join for water at Bagaya Primary School on Friday.

The Team Leader for Rural Water and Sanitation in Albert Water Management Zone Mr. Sam Tusiime observed that when pupils are taught about these good practices, we shall have a new generation that protects and observes sanitation and hygiene which will minimize on diseases.

He also tasked Teachers to encourage learners to take enough water so as to stay hydrated as this will boost their performance in class.

Hon. Sabiiti Joram Kinuge who represented the Mayor at the occasion asked the school management to keep this facility well such that it serves the taste of time.

“It is Government mandate for every public building to have a water harvesting tank, for this reason we appreciate NRDI and Join for Water for the job well done,” he said.
