Residents of Kyanjuki village in Bulembeya Division Kasese Municipality have been trained by a team from Natural Resources Defense Initiative ( NRDI) on soil and water conservation structures.
According to Mr. Zarlot Kipuuru the field coordinator NRDI, it is important for farmers to be taught about soil and water conservation to avoid disasters’ that may arise out of poor farming methods.
The Senior Agricultural Officer Kasese District Mr. Sabuni commended NRDI for the good initiative of providing nature based solutions that are aimed at conserving the environment.
